Looking at our posting over the past month, it may seem like we're about to change the name of this site to Obamazine. We're not, we promise.
But I have been trying out some new vocabulary with my kids.
Examples? "President-elect Obama says it's time to get up for school." When my prodding is greeted with groans and covers pulled over heads? "President-elect Obama says, "Yes we can!"
President-elect Obama, mamas all over the world thank you for giving us new ways to get kids to do what they need to do. I've already used this one: "When President-elect Obama was a little boy living in Indonesia, he used to get up before 5 a.m. to study U.S. history. So I don't want to hear any complaints about having to do one page of math homework!"
It may be a new day, but a mama still has to nag. After all, where would we be if the original Obama Mama hadn't?
