I don't know. I'm pretty swept up in what I'm calling the online "pretty movement." For me, as Amy already put so nicely, posting a pretty picture every day is about having something nice to show at the end of a long day—especially when that long day entails meeting the needs of two little boys. It's also about documenting the good stuff and finding something lovely to share, amid the diaper changes, the meal making, the cleaning up, and the whining and the boredom (theirs and mine) because often the lovely moments in ordinary life and in motherhood pass quickly and go unnoticed by the rest of the world.
Anyway, along the same lines, these "domestic artworks" at Third Drawer Down (via fine little thing) made me happy today. Particularly loving the Camilla Engman and Sarajo Frieden (shown above) tea towels and the Sarah Parkes and Kat McLeod artprons.
Who says we can't find a way to make the ordinary artful? I'm all for it—especially if it means some women are getting paid to do it. Other than Martha Stewart that is...
