White Peaches & Cream

Melissa, our poetry editor, introduced this delish dish to me last peach season. Cut up a white peach, pour on some heavy cream, and indulge.
In all my years, I've heard of peaches and cream, but now I "understand" it. At the dining room table with a bowl of white peaches swimming in cream, the sunrise streams in the window and even if it's just for a few small minutes, it gives me pleasure and a delicious sense of peace. It can be epic really. Try it. |
