Writer and director Leigh Fondakowski has brought us some good theater: I Think I Like Girls, The Laramie Project
 , The People's Temple, Gwen John, and more. The topics and themes she explores in her work are never less than fascinating. Her new play Three Seconds in the Key, premiering tonight on the west coast, "is the story of one mother's fall and rise as she competes with Hodgkin's disease for her son and her body." Again, fascinating.
