I Meant to Stop at Just One

It started innocently enough with this piece in Inside Higher Ed, an essay about giving up a tenured position in an English department. That led me to this piece, A Good Enough Birth, which left me thinking, "Hey, look! I'm not the only one who thinks c-sections are truly a modern miracle!" Things got really eerie, though, when I found this next piece, Caring for My Children, which pretty much relieves me from having to write that piece I'd been mulling over about my former daycare snobbery and current love of my daughter's daycare and the amazing teachers she has there. Is Rebecca Steinitz reading my mind--and then writing everything I think in much more gorgeous prose than I could ever dream of producing? Then I found We're Nuts; They're Wrong: Let's Get Some Perspective, a piece which more or less sums up my view of the Mommy Wars, as well as much of what Sheri and I thought as we started mamazine. Rebecca, are you a mind reader?
