A GAP Revolution
posted by Sheri
With the help of my beloved director Spike Jonze, the GAP was trying to announce the new, upcoming look of GAP, although for whatever reason, they've now pulled the ad.
Maybe this is a little too telling, but I enjoyed the ad cause that's the kind of revolution I've always secretly wanted to start over their perfect color-coordinated little shelves of perfectly straight rows of perfectly folded shirts and pants (this coming from person who color-coordinates her closet and folds clothing presents GAP-like before laying them into a gift box). Still, BabyGap and its tiny neaties make me want to unleash! Their stores are just so perfect and instead of relaxing me, they give me a feeling kind of like Lenny with that little mouse. Except I stop myself...
Check out the ad on Slate and have a good laugh about your retail store frustration (or mine)! 'Tis (close to the end of) the season...
